Red face "Turn Power Off" Message

Hello,

I have a 2010 RX350 with 72k. I was washing it today, vehicle was on, key fob in my pocket. When done, I opened the door, saw the exclamation point (usually indicating the key not detected) but this time it said "Turn power off". Got in, closed door and message went away, drove fine, etc, etc.

Has anyone ever seen this before? I was at a car wash station with the power washer hoses and several times I wound up hitting the door handles with the high pressures water causing the vehicle to beep for approx 10 seconds. I've done this before, but for some reason wound up doing it a lot more today. Is this Turn Power Off message just something that pops up after a while?

Thanks!

What you've experienced happened 'once' to me. I had pulled the car out, got out and washed him. On getting back in, had the same message. The car was polite, didn't call me a 'dumb ******, just the message. I hadn't turned it off properly when I got out. Suspect the same thing just happened to you . Congrats on also have a car smarter than us .

That's normal, it's caused by the water hitting the top of the door handle where you normally put your finger to lock the doors. It's 'Lexus' language telling you it's trying to lock the door LOL. But can't 'cuz you're in the car with your key .
