2015 vs waiting for 2016
#16
Tough to say. my reasoning was ... I am keeping this vehicle after lease and the 2015 has been tested and improved through the years. Can't get a more reliable better car.
2016 is unknown. They might just dump a 2.0l in the base to satisfy the new market...and the 3.5 might be 5k more, no one knows and until they release more information.
If you have not bought one already, my suggestion is to wait and see. Then you can always grab the left over 2015's, however they do go VERY fast.

No, I don't play soccer!
Welcome to CL, Ken. Like everyone has said, it's a tough decision without knowing more about the 2016. We should probably have a better idea soon. There's supposed to be an announcement regarding two new Lexus models next month at the Detroit Auto Show. Here is the thread. Fingers crossed one of them will be the RX. Spring is when the prior gens were launched so I have a feeling it'll happen. Also, I've had the first year of each gen RX since it came out back in 1998 with nary an issue. The old adage about not buying first year doesn't apply to Lexus

These teaser about new safety features in the 2016 RX appeared in our local Lexus dealer's latest newsletter ....

I'm a new member on this forum and am considering buying a new 2015 RX 350 but from what I've found in the internet the 2016 is supposed to be out in the spring, perhaps at early as March.
From what I've read it will be a bit larger, and priced about $5,000 higher as a starting price. New exterior and interior styling along with a touch screen. Some nice improvements but the increased price would likely a reason for pause. Plus we all know how "new model year" vehicles can be. Anyway I'm open to all thoughts and suggestions.
Thanks, Ken

The latest new model Lexus offerings since the CT were all late in the year or early next year.
The fact that the NX is just starting to ship with more volume and sales expected to ramp up in Q1 2015, from a marketing standpoint, it makes little sense to take away from the NX's thunder with a spring offering of the new RX. Expect late 2015.
