Default New grips..tpms question

Must the dealer reset the tpms or can this be performed at home..tried it with the button but no go..

If I remember from your thread you got new wheels also? If they had new sensors if I'm not mistaken you have to register the new sensors to the car with a ateq device

Yup. Apparently it must go to dealer to have the new tpms read and registered..

Welcome to TPMS hell. If the originals are not cloned, a trip to the dealer is required to get new ones programmed in. No idea why, but [to my knowledge] the RX does not store 2 sets of of TPMS sensors, like some other models do. I guess with USDM being the primary market where most of population drives on all-seasons, they figured there was little need for it. And it's another revenue generator for the dealer.

I simply forgo the TMPS for my winter set and call it a day.
As soon as I get my hands on the wiring diagrams, the TMPS bulb will be cut.
