Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
Does anyone know if the RCTA system is available in the 2015 RX ? I know it's an option in the LS, but don't see it in the RX options.
I have the BSM along with the RCTA in our 2013 RAV4 and would never buy another car without these two features.

Really have no clue why Toyota did this. Both Rav4 and Highlander have them. I had a GX loaner with this feature and think it's a great feature. So I asked my saleman about it. He told me the RX I was getting had RCTA. "Yes, BSM comes with RCTA." It sounded like they come together. I took his words and didn't even check. He must be thinking about about the GX. He's a nice guy so I just let it go.

I plan on buying a new RX or NX...only if it has the BSM with RCTA.
The RCTA has saved me a number of times backing out of a parking space in our RAV4 that has the features.
Thanks for the responses !

The NX does have it. I suspect the RX will get it in '16 when the new model comes out.

I heard the 2015 RX does not have the BSM with the RCTA, if so I hope the 2016 RX will have it ?
We have it on our RAV4 and will never buy a new car without it.
It's a fantastic safety feature !

Really the 2015 Rx doesn't have rear cross traffic alert
Even though I bought my RX a month ago I really didn't start driving it until this week. Today I discovered it doesn't have rear cross traffic alert. I'm so outdone and shocked. My 2010 fusion had it so you would think a Lexus would have it as well. Apparently they have this as an option on some of their other vehicles. Why not all?
I was originally looking for a 2013 cpo, but I couldn't find one with bsm in the right color etc. I thought the 2013 and 2014 I did test drive had the alerting system. Maybe it was the NX I drove.
I initially said give me 24 hours to think about it after my salesperson came back with such a good discount on a brand new one. Especially since I had just come from looking at the SRX and dealing with a salesperson I didn't like and feeling over the whole car buying process. Honestly though, I'm not sure I would have realized it was missing with additional time . Oh well, nothing I can do about it now. It just sucks that they seemed to have left off options on the 2015. I guess they were so focused on the redesigned 2016.
Anyhoo.......finished with my whining .

Yeah, I whine a lot too until I ride in my friends Edge, it's got all the tech I want but the ride is a whole other story.
The RX really hasn't had much of an upgrade since the 13. I still love it though.
