Default How to only turn on accessories mode in RX350 2010

Has anyone else found this annoying?
You arrive at your destination and you are in the middle of listening to a hot news item or a song on the radio. It may be a while before this may finish and so you want to SHUT OFF the engine only and stop idling, but don't want to shut the rest of the electronics off.
So, yes you can do this by turning the engine off and then pressing the start button without placing the foot on the brake paddle. But by then you have lost so much important information streaming down from the radio (as it shuts off when you stop the engine).
So I was wondering if there is a way to go from ENGINE ON mode to just ACCESSORIES only mode without 1st stopping engine, then pressing start button.
Thank you

Previously advised option of doing this is to press the Start button once while in NEUTRAL - that would shut the engine but keep accessories on.
We have our 2013 RX for 1.5 years, and I didn't know about this until very recently. Thanks to this great forum!

+1 to above. I'd put the foot brake on for safety first, then place in Neutral, then simply press the start button once.

Awesome.
Thanks to you both. Will give it a go.
I think in my ES300 electronics used to stay active until I actually opened the door. Or maybe it was just the windows can't recall now. Wonder why they didn't carry something like that forward.

This is fantastic. But it seems to have an unintended consequence of locking the trunk.

I tried this neutral shutdown trick to continue a phone call yesterday after I reached my destination. After finishing my call, I tried to open the trunk from inside the car using the inside button. When it did not open, I went outside and tried the button on the hatch. Then tried the manual method, but the trunk door remained locked. The only way I could open the trunk was after restarting the car and then shutting down the engine. Any way to avoid this kind of side effect?

Mine is a 2013 RX

As long as your foot is on the brake, you can shut it off in "drive" , then shift to park and the radio will stay on.
