2010 RX 350 Power Lift Gate question

No, I don't play soccer!
The big change I recall in February 2010 was the switch to synthetic oil. Lexus sent out a new maintenance booklet. Oh, and there was an update to the iPod scrolling issue but that didn't affect later builds. Lexus Enform came out in August 2009, taking away the sunglass holder. My 450h is a November 2009 build, six months after the RXh came out. The tech who programmed my tailgate in 2010 said it was a matter of knowing programming. That lead me to believe he did something outside normal procedures. In the other tailgate thread, members have posted the names of the dealer they used. CapSacto, thank you for letting us know about your experience. ECU update sounds like a plausible reason it now works. I can see people calling their dealer to get it done, LOL! But I doubt there's any software difference between the 350 and 450h. A few 350 owners were able to have their tailgate programmed

Armed with all this information several months ago, I asked my dealer to program this for my 2010 350. They are an outstanding dealer, and very helpful. But they could not see any way to program this as requested. They had their most senior technician try to figure it out, to no avail. So, I'm not sure that all 2010's can be programmed like this.

UPDATE 3
No luck everyone, 2nd dealership could not program the lift gate either. So I guess I'll need to use the dash button or carry my key fob and giving the credit card key to my wife. What a waste of $200 but I guess my wife will like it better than carrying her key fob.
So I guess it's true, some 2010's have this feature and some don't.
Thanks to everyone for their advice and experiences.

Sorry to hear that David. I was hoping you wouldn't have the same difficulties as other members. I'll ask my SA to check the tech's notes from when he programmed mine during my next service appointment in November. Some 2010s but not all? There's just no good rhyme or reason to that.

It took three trips to the dealer, each time talking to different people and techs to get our '11 RX350 lift gate to open electrically from the button on the back. Persistence paid off for us. Since yours is a 2010, I don't know what to say. You've done your best.
