2015 RX F sport - Strut Shifted
I'll start with the store and move to mechanic's result.
Car: 2015 F sport.
I was driving in traffic, and had to Panic break - 3-4 line of cars made a sudden stop. 45mph-0. Since then had clunking sounds coming from front and sort of feeling as if the car was driving over a log during low speed while breaking or coming to a complete stop. At first thought of ABS had reacted but, today I had a call to come in for a travelling master tech to take a look at it.
1) Today, the lead tech informed me that it is an unknown issue on the boards. He is getting guidance from Lexus. Apparently the Strut has shifted during the panic stop. < wasn't that bad of a stop by me, I've had worse.
2) Suspension, breaks and structure is all secure with no issues. so no problem there.
3) They will document and write a bulletin. Want to do research before opening anything up. The car will be in Mon-Tue and will be inspected by a visiting Lexus Rep. Before they take anything apart, might be a simple fix.
Otherwise safe to drive. Just though I will mention this in our forum. I will update you all and post the report. Now I was told that they want to document it for future instances as he fears it might be more technical issue.
We shall see..

I wonder if it broke the strut mount or strut mount bearing at the top? Then the strut shaft can rotate and it could make a clunking noise. I have seen it happen before.
