Default Purchased CPO 2011 RX 350

Just purchased Red/par with Nav,tow prep.etc 29K miles for $31.8K. Nice car for my wife! Dealer delivered to my house from 6 hours away and drove away my trade in. I highly recommend Wilde Lexus in Sarasota Fl.
Trying to learn about all the extras. What the heck are the 2 sort of fabric panels that hang down behind rear seats in cargo area?
Pretty bland ride compared to my 02 911 Porsche. The 911 is much more comfortable and way more fun to drive.
I am sure I will be back with questions, although I will search first.

They should attach to the back of the rear seats from the crossbar. It's part of the security cover that makes the cargo area into a trunk, so to speak.
Look in the secret compartment under the cup holders accessed by removing the console box. You may find your owner's manual in there. Since your car is a CPO, you are entitled to a new owner's manual. It's great for insomnia. Stay in touch with your salesperson. He/she sounds like a big asset. You got a great deal. We paid 35,500 for the same car in California.

Congrats on your new 350, rbc123. The panels are part of the tonneau cover like Ray pointed out. They provide that little extra coverage for the cargo area. Later model RXs don't have it. About the bland ride, what kind of tires do you have? That can make a difference. Now the 350 can't compare to the 911 in terms sportiness but it should be comfortable. Some people refer to the RX as a couch on wheels. Tell us more about what you don't like. Oh, and definitely post pictures and more details about your RX here.

thanks for panel/cover answer. They seem a little silly, the covers I mean.
HA driving a couch is about right. Not saying that is a bad thing, just puts me to sleep.
Tire are new Pirreli Scorpion.
Not much I dislike about car. I do really like color. Almost a Burgundy.
Gas mileage could be better but...........

^^ LOL!

rbc123, maybe you would've liked the 450h for the better mileage and 25 more HP. But then again, if you think the 350 puts you to sleep, you'd be in a coma with the 450h BTW, at least the Pirellis will give you a little more animated ride.

Actually I am trying to keep that eco light lit but........
I knew from this forum that the MPG was pretty poor, I know, I know its better than the others.
Still my Porsche will get 20 to 24 in town and 28 to 30 at 80 with A/C.
Maybe I haven't found it yet but is there a way to set an alert sound when you hit certain speed? The RX is so quiet that I find it easy to be speeding without realizing it.
