Location of Navigation DVD
I have a new PT219-HDDG6 -13 MAP Disc to Update my 2011 RX350 NAV System, but I'm seeing a lot of contradictory info on how to do the update. Is it really as simple as scrolling to the MAP program in SETUP and putting the disc in the DVD Player below it, or is the DISC itself located in a player somewhere in the vehicle? Some have said the Power Cable to the battery needs to be removed fro a RESET.... Any help will be appreciated! THANKS

Welcome to Club Lexus marc r. You posted this in the second generation forum but you have a third generation model. I am not sure if the location was changed by Lexus on your model. The second generation RX it is in the trunk storage compartments below, right side. If you use the search function there are numerous postings on this with photos and procedure for changing the DVD. Maybe a moderator will move this posting to the correct forum. The DVD is in the player. No battery reset required.

As stated above, you need a USB key and a trip to a dealer to get it updated. There will be a labor charge. Expect to spend about $300-$350 overall. My RX had spent 2 days at the dealership as they struggled to figure out how to do an update. It took another trip to get it finally done. Needless to say, in today's world, their upgrade process is very convoluted.
