Default Help! My rear doors will not unlock!

I just finished installing sound deadeners and vibration control in my rear doors and when I finished the doors would not unlock...at all. Manually nor automatically. I'm sure the linkage cable was green on top, grey on the bottom. The real problem here is that I can't even get the doors open to look for a fix. This may be a dealer appointment. On the bright side, with just the rear doors complete the sound is already vastly improved over stock.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I figured it out. I mixed up the cable assemblies. Green goes on the bottom of the linkage. But how do I get the doors unlocked to fix them?
I guess the only option is to have someone use a `slim Jim` type tool to unlock the doors. Has anyone had this done before?

Can you disassemble the door handle assembly and pull on the cable manually?

I believe that the door handle assembly is integrated into the door panel and cannot be removed. You must pop off a small cover in order to remove one of the screws holding the door panel and with this cover off you can partially see the cable assembly. It‘s such a small space, I doubt that I can reach the cables. I will take a closer look however, thanks.

I ended up having to take it into Lexus. The tech consulted an engineer and he was able to open the doors within an hour. Apparently, these doors cannot be opened from the outside with a slim jim. They had to use a similar device, but from the inside and with the window all the way down.
