I watched this thread with some amusement and decided it was time to throw in my .02 cents worth. The term "boring" is such a subjective term. It is simply in the eye of the beholder, like evaluating art. Frankly, it wasn't something we thought about when we bought it. We liked the appearance, ride and other factors so we bought it. End of story. That said, I still don't feel it is boring, IMHO.
I guess my question would be similar to what others have stated here, "boring compared to what"?
Is that compared to another SUV, a truck, sedan or sports car. Everyone is going to have a different perception and that is fine. I don't care if others consider it boring, a woman's car or anything else. We enjoy it very much and those perceptions of others don't even register for me. My brother sells cars and states there is an @ss for every seat. So his moral is that the RX may not be everyone's cup of tea, but that is why there are so many flavors of tea out there.
Now I must say the new NX has a very exciting look and I can't wait to see them on the road. Doesn't mean I find it any more or less boring, just very different.

I don't find the RX boring. However as someone else mentioned "boring" is subjective..
For example, I will watch any car show I can find on cable TV.. While I find them informative my wife finds them "boring".. Buy what makes you happy..

^^ Very nice GS, I had an 2011 Grand Sport 6MT in Cyber Grey that was traded for a CTS-V. I had a lot of fun in that car.. It was just a PIA to drive on the roads in the NYC/LI area..
Back on topic, almost a month in and I still don't find my wife's RX F-Sport boring. As a matter of fact, it certainly isn't any more "boring" than the ML350 she had prior to the RX.

My RX is super boring...... because it doesnt break down! I never get the excitement that I get from visiting the dealer all the time like I do in my wife's Merc!

That's at the Memorial Aviation Park in Bowling Green. Every airframe in the park is now retired for the purpose of being there and has actual combat history. That particular F-111 saw service over Lybia when Gaddafi was still in charge http://www.ask.com/wiki/1986_United_...ibya?qsrc=3044 . The paint scheme was common at the time.
