Talking What Color Is Your Puddle Light?

While the weather was pretty warm over the past weekend in NYC, I had the chance to mess with the Rex for a little bit I know most people would put 6k LEDs as replacements but I went with Purple instead, because I personally believe it gives a more Unique and sexy look to the car.

Share your Opinions! Thoughts! Inputs! or a picture of your Puddle Light!

Interesting. Very unique indeed. My problem with the puddle lights is that they don't come on fast enough. They are supposed to turn on when you approach the car, but I am already touching the door handle when they come on. They should already begin to illuminate when you are 5 feet from the car. /rant

Unique for sure! However, the light doesn't project down far enough to illuminate the ground (hence it is pretty much useless, IMHO).

The IS does it pretty far away. Is this an RX problem?

Not a fan of the color.

I would like these lights to be brighter but I'm not ready to remove the mirrors, as several posts have demonstrated, to install LED bulbs.

I have also noticed that we have to be fairly close to the RX before the lights come on. Are these lights intended to light the area around the door before you enter or are they only an accent/novelty kind of thing?

I have a 2011 and it illuminates from pretty far away. Maybe you wanna get it checked out? Or maybe you are a pretty fast walker.

I don't think the puddle lights are meant to light the floor area. I agree more with it being just a accent/novelty kind of thing. Plus I improvised some LED strips to illuminate the floor when the doors are open. Mehh the Rilakkuma Bear head rest are demanded by the mistress to be there in the car at all times lol. My Rex is also a 2011 and the lights come on pretty quick once I'm within a 5' feet proximity.

Picture is pretty crappy but its good enough to see the illuminated area with the improvised LED strip
