Is there a way to auto-lock?

I'm surprised that Lexus didn't carry that auto door lock feature in to RX models. I had 02 Es300, which, if you walked away after shutting off the engine and leaving the car, you'd come back and find doors were locked and security sys engaged. You were at a peace in knowing that no matter what, car will be secured. I miss that feature on my 2010 RX 350.

This is what I do. As I get out of the vehical I hit the door lock button on the armrest and you get a clunk that leaves no doubt. I do like the mirror retract thing and will set my mirros to retract when locked, too

I like Cheryl's idea of folding the mirrors in the garage as it gives a little more room.

[QUOTE=PeteInGilr;8417130]You're right. I just used my "auto" mirrors for the first time and you have to lock the car using the dimple on the handle...QUOTE]
I wonder why they did it that way. The problem in using the "dimple" for me is that you have to wait for everyone to get out and close all the doors before it will work. So, in a parking lot where I most appreciate the folding mirrors, I usually find myself standing by the door waiting for my wife to gather up her belongings and get out and close the door before I can lock the car. I know, it not more than a few seconds, and it's a MINOR annoyance. I just don't understand why (which is probably the real reason I find it annoying).
Why not have the mirrors fold up regardless of how you choose to lock the doors, and why not let me lock the doors even if one is still open? Previous cars would simply wait for the open doors to close, then lock it along with the rest. It seems so simple.

Is there a hidden setting to allow the unlocking of the back doors when you grab the back door handles?
