RX350 Windows come down on their own
This is a first, for any vehicle I've owned. When my wife went out to the car Sunday AM she found all of the windows on our 2010 RX350 down and the moon roof open. The doors were locked from the night before, and I know for certain all of the windows/moon roof were closed. The only thing I can think of is we are in a flight path for the GSP airport. Our garage door used to go up, from time to time, when planes would fly over.
One other thing I forgot to mention. I replaced the batteries on both of our key fobs Saturday. I hit the lock button to make sure the fob worked, but that was all I did. You can't do anything with the windows or moon roof with the key fob. But what else could trigger them to go down? We've had the car about 6 months. Anyone ever heard of this happening? TIA

No, I don't play soccer!
Welcome to CL, Herb4765. I moved your thread over to the 3rd gen RX forum. First gen is for MY 1999-2003.
Take a look at this thread. Chances are the unlock button on the key fob is programmed to open all the windows and moonroof when you press and hold it. It's part of the Lexus Personalized Settings or LPS for short. Since you recently picked up the RX, you can ask the dealer to disable this for you as a goodwill gesture. But I'd recommend going through the entire LPS list to make sure you don't want anything else changed. They will charge for it in the future.
BTW, to shut the windows and moonroof quickly, take the key out of the key fob, insert in the driver door and turn to the left. And put the key fobs in a safe place.

As Anita has pointed out, you must have hit unlock, then unlock again when you replaced the batteries. When you hold the unlock on the 2nd click, it will open the windows and the moonroof by default. You can have either disabled. Or just have the moonroof tilt. I just had the moonroof disabled on mine because sometimes I want windows to be open just a bit from the remote, but that also partially opens the moonroof.
There's a recent thread on custom settings:

Many thanks to Anita and Vlad for your help here. That makes sense, since I just replaced the key fob battery. Just one more feature that my Lexus has that I wasn't aware of. I'll check the link you provided so that I can re-code it. Thanks again!
