Updating the Navigation in a 2013 RX ??
I did notice there was a posting concerning updating so hope I am not duplicating. But theirs was from one year vehicle to another.
I am a recent owner of a 2013 RX. I am still baffled by 'how to' run the thing but have accomplished some rudimentary destinations. The 'Voice Control' or whatever you call it is most baffling!! I can't say the 'manual' is all that helpful but am muddling thru as best I can. Are/Is There Another Source I Can Go To To Learn How To Use This Thing ???????
But, most baffling is the software (if that is the correct item to question?). It is not very current or up to date?? I say this because some of the destinations I put in, including my 'HOME', it cannot find? It is 'findable' on Google Maps, Mapquest and even on my Garmin??!! I can get to the 'street' but it does not recognize the address number??
With my Garmin I can update the software and POI's. Is there a way to update the software and POI's on the RX?? Again maybe I need to be directed to a source that can give me some instruction on how to use the NAV system and how to utilize the POI in the system? I've used the voice command and asked for grocery stores that are in my town and it tells me 'THERE ARE NONE'???
I like the 'looks' of the Nav system in the RX but I may have to use my Garmin until I can get some help on how to use the RX system???
thanks

First, I would check to see what Lexus says is covered. Take a look around here:
http://www.lexusnavigation.com/city_listing.php
You can also submit feedback on your problem:
http://www.lexusnavigation.com/feedback_option.php
Next, arrange for a visit to your local Lexus dealership. Have them confirm your problem(s) with your address and search problems. For this you may meet with the Lexus Technology Specialist there. If confirmed, make sure to have this entered into your service records as this may get you a free update to the newer maps when made available. Perhaps there is already a map update which corrects the problem you are having.
Finally, spend time with your Owner's Manual and the Navigation section. No shortcuts here. Is going to take time and effort on your part to learn the system.
