Default Good time to buy... or wait?

I got a RX350 loaner (2013) pretty much fully loaded. In fact, I still have it. After driving it for two weeks, I'm seriously considering getting one.

Is it a good time to buy considering a replacement may be coming soon?

I would say, perfect time to buy. Main reasons are as follows:

1) Lexus' main priority are the RC-F, possible IS coupe and GS-F as well as the NX. Spy shots of the RC-F, GS-F and NX have already been seen so they will possibly come before the updated RX.

2) The RX just had a few revisions done recently to bring it up in line with the rest of the lineup. It already has the spindle grill. They arent going to bring out an all new RX a year after updating it.

3) No spy shots of the "new" RX have been seen. Therefore, its not coming any time soon.

Id say itll be a 2016 MY so you still have about 3 years if not more

By replacement, you could mean two things: 1) the 2014 model; or 2) a completely new, redesigned model.

If you are talking about the 2014 model, then a good time to buy is when there is still enough inventory of 2013's available and there are good deals. That situation should be peaking sometime in the next eight weeks. If you start looking / negotiating now ... I'm sure in the coming weeks a great deal will materialize.

If by replacement, you mean a redesigned RX. Then that will arrive in all likelihood in 2016 MY (ie. sometime in CY 2015). About a year and a half or two years from now. Only you know your situation and whether it is worthwhile. Here is an alternative proposal: Lexus has 27 month leases ... get one of those to carry you over to the replacement model. That approach will give you a great ride now and the new model when it hits. If you tend to lease, Lexus will probably buy out your lease early and get you into the new model from day one.

Great idea about leasing, UCSB. I'd just add the lease deals are pretty good right now with Golden Opportunity going on right now. It's a perfect way to get into the RX right now without the long term commitment.
