Thanks for the picture. Those look nice. I like the shape of them. the way they taper at the ends.

Noticing that there were no body side moldings I was suspicious about dings. My IS is like a magnet attracting dings so I opted for the ding insurance. I know many people say its a selling gimmick but has more than paid for itself on the IS and figured the added protection was good for the RX black sapphire finish and light leather interior. So far no dings.

I had the service department of my Lexus dealer install the side moldings on my 2010 450h just after I got the vehicle last January. As I recall, the cost was about C$175 plus the inevitable tax.

How and what club discount are you referring to? I'm going to order some and was wanting to know how to get a discount. Thanks.

Sign up with Sewell and the discount is automatically built into the prices.

The Lexus supplied mouldings look great! Can you install those yourself, and do they come with the instructions etc? I don't think it would be too difficult to install. Were they $179.00 for the set?
I will definitely get a set of these this winter when I am in Mesa AZ. Hope to get the splash guards from Sewell also.
Cheers,
JB

Yes, I have located and printed out a set of installation instructions. Will be ordering them along with the mud flaps or splash guards for my 10 RX. I am also considering a hood bug deflector to help protect the front of the hood from stone chips and bugs. The body side mouldings look great and should help to protect the doors.
Thanks,
JB

I've had my RX for a little over two weeks now.We ordered the side moldings from Sewell parts and the local Toyota dealer is installing them tomorrow. The service manager said the normal installation price is around $95, so the total price including taxes and shipping should be close to $213.

I dont have that stuff they are suggesting on the instruction manual for prepping the surface. I just used Isopropyl alcohol, I read here in CL that some members are using it and it works the same. Its the same prep I used when I installed my JDM visors on the 2IS

Door guards wouldn't have helped us at all. Both these are from parking far away. No one was around the car when parked, or when returned from errand. Almost makes you think someone came to do it on purpose.
