Yeah I see those on just about every RX from 2010 up. It is more prominent on black interior cars. Seems to be normal though.

Told my wife about this post. She checked our '13 w parchment....they' re there.

Amazing, right under my nose ( or other parts), and I never noticed.

Now that I look for them I see similar marks on my ivory interior (much fainter than in the photos above). I don't have heated or ventilated seats though, and it's not an F-sport.

Been thinking about this... Seems some people have the problem, others don't. The problem appears to be more prevalent on black leather perhaps, but can't say that for sure with only forum input -- lots of enthusiasts go for black interior and we're the types that hang out here. Anyway, perhaps it's more apparent on those seats where the heating is used more often and/or for longer durations...

In my case, I have the heated/ventilated parchment seats, but as I've stated, no apparent spots behind my leather. I also use seat heating only on rare occasion, e.g. not every day during the depth of winter, and not for long durations of time -- never more than 15-20 minutes I suspect, with days between use each time.

What blows a hole through my theory though is Paul's post where he sees the issue on light seats, but has no seat heat/ventilation. Interesting.

Theyre definitely there on all RX's 2010 onwards. You have to look at them in a certain angle but its true that its more prominent on black interiors

I have a 2013 with the h/c seats and black interior and have been noticing this for a while now.

I have a 2013 with parchment purchased in May of this year so I have not used the heated seats yet and have not seen the dark impressions. I'm thinking maybe its the warm/hot air that causes these impressions.

I have a 2012 RX 450h with the black interior and the heated ventilated front seats and have not noticed any of these impressions indicated here. I rarely though use the heat function.

I have a 2013 with black leather ventilated seats (which oh by the way the ventilation sucks) and thought I was the only one with these marked larger holes. It's actually a fixed pattern and is actually where the air comes thru. The front and rear seats have the tiny ventilation holes but only the fronts have motors for actual ventilation. It's the larger holes that are actually the primary means by which the vented air is forced out.

Can't say I have any marks like that on my black seats after three and a half years. And I use the heating/cooling feature year round depending on the weather. Maybe the leather is stretched out
