Has anyone ever had to replace those on their 3rd gen?

you can purchase the rear left and right from Sewell. with Club Lexus discount it was $66-68. Do you need any special tools, can you just change them in the driveway?
I asked Sewell the torque spec: top bolt 74 and bottom bolt 68.
My dealer said my right one was leaking and would be $124 to replace.

That's funny because I heard a noise going over bumps from our 450h when cruising with the windows down. Something I didn't notice on the test drive because Lexus isolates you from the outside world (Only had the vehicle for 2 weeks). I took the wheel off and noticed dirty greasy residue around the shock and from the looks of it it appears as though it's been going on for quite some time. I ordered the parts from Sewell and I'm going to replace the shock myself.

You can get the shocks for like $30 each (you have to do two). I would assume labor is 2 hours at the most? It should be two bolts and done, but I wonder if you can access the top bolt easily?!?

Just replaced the shock. Took me about 45 min. It's just two bolts. The top is the easiest but I recommend removing that top bracket held on by three nuts. It will make reinstall 10x easier.

I had my shocks replaced and still have an intermittent squeek noise when going over large bumps/dips. Does anyone have details on the trailing arm bushings that I could tell my dealer?

Yes, they made a revision to the trailing arm. I don't have the paperwork in front of me here, but let the dealership know that Lexus made a revision to it. Mine squeeks going over speed bumps on the downstroke. Lexus won't pay for an alignment after, so make sure you get it done. My car is tracking funny after having it changed even though the guy said nothing will happen.

I had my shocks replaced too and still have that squeak, it happens on certain parts of the road and the technician wrote on the service receipt that he tested my car with 4 other cars and they all exhibited the same squeak and that the squeak was from the leather seats rubbing against each other. I doubt its the leather seats...it really sounds like suspension squeak

Just had my left rear replaced today. Mine was in for an oil change at 49,900 miles. Dealer said it was leaking and replaced it under warranty.

Small pool of light oil inboard of each rear tire today. Scheduled my 45k service and showed them the shocks. Didn't question about being under warranty (2010 RX350). Did a pick and choose from the 45K Service Menu as I had cleaned the cabin air filter and Fob battery. Will let you know how it all comes out.

Update: Dealer replaced both rear shocks under warranty while doing the 45k service. This vehicle is new to me (3 weeks) and needed a little 'deferred maintenance'. 4 Michelins, 4-wheel alignment, 2-shocks, fixed oil leak from non-lexus dealer who changed oil filter incorrectly, etc. All is well.

There's a tsb for the rear shock leak. I saw it somewhere and recently had this problem fixed at the dealer.

I bought my 2010 RX450h about a month ago. The prior owner bought the car new from the same dealership and got all service done there. So... going through the paperwork I saw that after it was turned in the rear shocks were replaced due to leaking.

Have RX350, 2010 leaking shocks stage 1 according to TSB so dealer won't replace. Said to wait until stage 3. Have 49800 miles. Dealer said to come back in a few months and would honor warranty if it gets worse. Wonder if they are trying to string me along. I never had any shocks leak on my other vehicles so why do these leak and why does Toyota consider it normal? Any comments?
