Is anyone bored of their RX yet?

I am pleased with the quality and performance of my RX hybrid and would consider a follow-on providing they make some dramatic changes to the current MY. If any of the renderings hold true for the upcoming NX, we will definitely consider adding that to our stable as well.

I too have had every generation of RX. While it doesn't excite me, it is comfortable, incredibly reliable and safe. During a storm there's nothing like being inside it. It's gone through snow, ice, water, over branches, etc. It's endured many storms including Sandy. I wasn't thrilled with the 400h but loved driving the regular Awd RX350. My escape is the little IS which I might replace with a GS.

I am bored with it already but my spouse loves her. If the 4th gen RX looks "similar" like the current one then I am off to different brand but love to stay with Toy/Lex brand though. I WANT a 3-row unibody Lexus.

No idea on that. Its just had a facelift so your looking at 2016 MY at the least for the new RX to come out. And just one question. Have you even seen the new X5? dont you think it looks out of proportion? The thing is hideous. Your better off going for the new range rover sport if you want a nice ride which isnt a Lexus
I second RRS choice over X5, but make sure your LR dealer is not too far from you...
If you only planning to keep new SUV for 3 years or so, get RRS.

Lexus Champion
I have a 2006 Lexus IS 350 and a 2010 Lexus RX350, both with most of the important options. I will pick the IS any day of the week for the best driving experience even though it is a lot smaller on the inside. The RX is fine, and we are going away for a two month, 8,000 mile trip next month, but it is in no way a dynamic driving experience. Comfortable, check. Reliable, check. Good mileage, check. Roomy, check. Engaging as a road vehicle, no. It is what it is, my wife likes it around town and it is her car. The RX hits it's target, but it's just not a fantastic road vehicle, imo. You may ask why we don't take the IS on the trip instead of the RX; we did take the IS last year but found it a bit too small capacity wise to take all our stuff.

I traded my 04 bmw m3 for Rx 350 and do i miss the fun driving of the m3? yes i do. Do i regret of getting the RX350? nope i dont. The RX gives me more space, better gas mileages, higher clearance, better interior's quality, craftmanship and the most importance factor to me is RELIABLE and that why i picked the RX over Bmw x3, 5, Caddilac SRX, Audi Q5, Mercedes ML 350, 550. By the way, i have owned 3 bmws and i know how they were.

I seem to change my mind every day regarding what I will do for my next car. The RRS and X5 are out late summer (as is the MDX which no one has mentioned) I know I will get lured in to their show rooms for a looky looky and that may mean I pull the trigger. I do hear what everyone is saying about reliability, my previous car was an Audi and it seemed to ALWAYS be at the dealership for repairs. If only Lexus would give me a sneak peak in to the 4th gen RX, I hope we will get some spy pics in spring 2014.

You do realise that the 4th gen RX is atleast 2 years away right? It may be longer because they need to nail this one completely. Im betting the new hybrid drivetrain from the GS450h, 340hp!!! and probably the new 3.5 from the GS too. F Sports will obviously look awesome and hopefully get 20's

No, I don't play soccer!
Rayaans, nice way to make the wait easier (NOT!). Each RX has been pretty unique. But the only thing that throws me off is the '13 refresh was a bit more radical than Lexus normally does mid gen. No doubt that'll make it through to the 4th gen in some shape or form. The bigger question is what else changes. Engine? Interior? Minor cosmetic differences? I'm hoping the NX will provide some insight into the direction Lexus is going with the RX.

Looks like the GS450h uses the 2GR-FXE engine (same as 2010 RX450h and Highlander Hybrid). It's really not a "new 3.5". That new hybrid drivetrain must be making a big difference.

It seems alot of face lifts are happening 2015. I am looking at the 2014 Acura MDX and the Lexus RX 350. Tough decision. Considered a Mercedes or BMW but hear also they are in the shop alot. Is there anything reliable these days! Audi looks good but pricing is over rated for what you get! JMO any feedback from anyone who is in the test driving mode like me? I keep hearing The next rx 350 is going to be worth the wait but I am impatient!

I've been driving an RX since 2003. I've had the 300, 330 and now 350. I lease and have traded in early for the latest and greatest since I'm always under my mileage. I'm bored with the car and want to try something new. I don't like the way the 2014 X5 looks but I like the outgoing 2013 model. I figure I can lease that for about 3 years and by the time the lease is up, Lexus will have done a redesign of the RX.

It must be. The hybrid drivetrain in the GS450h is immensely powerful! 5.9s they claim? considering the GS doesnt weigh that much less if it was put in the RX i would say about 6.5s for the RX at tops. Would be an exciting drivetrain to have in the RX. The GS CVT is the best one yet, its not perfect, but it really is great.
