In our country dealer have demo cars for test drive. After 5000 miles they are selling it -20% off.
On my opinion it's not right to sell car which have been already used(even for a while), as a new car.

new car should be considered around 30.

especially with nicer cars, dealers try to keep the mileage as low as possible as its a turn off for people who are actually looking to buy.

When I picked up my new 2013 RX in Dallas it had 8 miles on it. We drove it back to Tennessee at interstate speeds(which I was a bit uneasy about), but now at 7k miles, all is well.

The Lexus dealer near me has a couple test drive vehicles that are likely being driven by sales guys. The "brand new" ones are kept in a garage a few blocks away. They don't let anyone test drive a "new" vehicle until it's sold.

My special order 2013 RX450h had 5 miles on the odometer (and a full tank of gas )when I took delivery.

I would never buy a brand new car which has more than 50 miles on it. That is approximately 9 test drives. Unless the discount is Steep

My '12 RX had 8 miles on it when I bought it new last year.

I test drove a 2012 IS-250 for my Wife this past February. The local Dealer said it was brand new. The car had 285 miles on it,no new car window sticker ,slightly dirty seats,and didn't have the new car smell. I told him to find a buyer for his"new" car elsewhere,I wasn't that dumb.

The new 2012 IS-250 I bought her in Maryland had 7 miles on the odometer.
