After reading through many of the postings here I decided to stay with the original Michelins that were on our 2010 RX350. I bought (4) new Latitude Tour HP P235/60R18 102V tires last week. If I didn't live in the Midwest I might have tried to put more than miles on than 29,500 miles on the original set. If we have snow like last year, I would have had traction issues even with AWD. I have had Michelins on other vehicles and these were quiet and rode fine with a 33-34 psi setting. Road surface has been the biggest contributor to road noise when it occurs.

Purchased my 2011 RX350 11 days ago with the original Michelin Primacy tires with 30k miles. Tires had a decent enough tread and rode well. However upon close inspection the side walls looked like they had dozens of tiny cracks. I swapped them out with the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Ecopias 235/60 18. Purchased and installed at the local Firestone dealer for $160 a tire but with an alignment and taxes etc the total was right at 1k. So far I love the tires, they ride well, comfortable and most important they are quiet. I'm very pleased with my setup. Have a long road trip for Christmas and if I have any issues with them I'll report back here.

jitdc, congrats on your RX. Please post back on the Ecopias after your trip. Like I said before, Bridgestone isn't one of my favorite brands but I loved the Dueler Alenzas I had on the 330. Safe travels.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get replacement wheels? I need a set of 18" that I can mount winter tires on, so I can just swap the wheels each year instead of having to keep getting remounting and store unmounted tires. 2015 RX. I see they are like $700 each from the dealer, and around $200-250 each at resellers. I don't need anything fancy, I am fine with the standard five spoke OEM wheels although they are a bit boring looking.

I plan to get a set of their 19 inch wheels when I get new tires, then sell my 18s on eBay, which is another place to shop.

I actually plan on getting some new aftermarket wheels for my F sport, and will likely be selling the OEM graphite wheels (probably complete with tires and TMPS sensors).


Another question....has anyone had any experience with Nexen Roadian HP tires? They tend to be cheaper than some alternatives (Pirelli and Continentals) and the initial reviews are pretty good

viperdoc you must be getting 8 inch wide wheels to fit the Nokians as i see they are 255/50/19. You may want to consider the Goodyear Eagle FI Asymmetric All Season (longest tire name ever) in that size. Yeah, they are actually 8.5 inches wide. They are the ace convex in titanium. I was inspired by corradomr2's new NX

Nice looking wheels. Are they hub centric or do you need adaptors? I looked at their web page but did not see that information.

They are actually hubcentric! That is one reason I am going to go with them. I also liked the Niche Targas in black, but they weight 6 lbs more than the Ace ones, and you need centering rings. With Ace (also called Braelin in canada), they custom cut the center bore for you depending on your OEM bore size. So it's a simple bolt on. The Ace's are a little more expensive than the Targas ($275 vs $240 per wheel) but I think it is worth the cost

I just order my bridgestones from tirerack this am... my tires were balding and this storm hit last night in the NE, so it looks like these tires comes with free Tire Rack Road Hazard Protection.. thats 68 bucks saved !

I'm not sure if there's any value with their road hazard protection because you will need to ship the tire back to them. Last I checked shipping cost if about $15 per tire so if I get a nail it would cost me about $10 to fix it locally vs. $15 to ship it back and wait 1-2 weeks?

his is not correct. They pay up to $25 per occurrence to reimburse you if the tire can be fixed locally. They also pay for a replacement (with phone authorization) if the tire can not be fixed. The tire must be made available for inspection if requested, but no mention of it being mandatory, especially for a simple nail repair patch job.

Correct, i can get things fix and submit for reimbursement.

So far with the new england snow, the bridgestones are pretty good so far. I had the pirelli scorpion verde as right before, it only lasted about 40k before running out.
