Driving home a couple of nights ago and my headlights shut off while taking a highway exit ramp. Dome light came on at same time. Also heard two beeps from my remote starter remote.

I thought my son had opened his door, but no door open icon in the cluster. Luckily I was able to pull over a couple of seconds later, and then about 5 seconds later, the headlights came back on like nothing was wrong.

I always have my headlights in Auto mode.

Has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks for any tips you can give me. My Rx is at the dealer tonight, hopefully they will find the issue.

Was the remote start recently installed? Installed by someone other than your dealership?

I blame remote starter. Might want to get that checked, especially if it's done aftermarket.

It was installed by the dealer, they verified it and changed the brain, it had a recall. Hope it solves my problem, does sound like most likely source.

Forgot to mention, remote start has been in it from the day I picked it up, about 15 months now.
