I used to work for Allegheny Airlines at LGA back in the 60's. Those were the days, my friend, those were the days.

I was with Allegheny Commuter/Suburban Airlines back in the late 80's. With AAL (formally AMR) now.

Default Male to Female Ratio Driving RX350

Just a simple question. Here in the Bay Area I see more Asian females driving these vehicles than anything. I personally have always liked these cars. So I just wanted to ask. How many of you bought these cars for yourself to drive? Also are you male of female?

Me: Male in his 40's with two kids. Wife drives a 2013 Honda Pilot.

I've owned 2 IS models an RX and now have a '15 RX350.
Who gives a rat's hindquarter if those vehicles are so called 'chick cars'?
If you like it,that's all that should matter.

I'm a 38 year old male. We bought the RX mainly as a family vehicle and my wife's commuter (she's the one who drops the kids off at daycare), so she drives it way more than I do. However, on the weekends, we leave my IS at home and take the RX on all of our outings, and I usually drive.

So...yeah, we bought it mainly for my wife, but in reality, I love driving it. Yes, 30-something year old males seem to be the minority in driving these, but it works so well for my family, road trips are a breeze, and I'm not too worried what others think. In any case, I'm schlepping around two kids everywhere I go, so I'm not feeling like I have something to prove with what I drive...

The RX is my wife's car. If she is going someplace alone she takes the RX. If we are going someplace together we take the RX and take turns driving, especially on long trips (we have 3 week road trip coming up in a couple of weeks).

I can see where ration would apply in a very general sense.

I think that you could figure it out in a week, just count everyone of them you see being driven, then note how many females vs males are driving them. Where I live the RX models are pretty much luxury versions of mini vans and the majority of drivers I see are female, but who cares, if you like it , buy it.

I traded in my 4WD 2014 Ford F150 Lariat with Ecoboost for the RX450 in Satin Cashmere. My 11 year old grandson was upset because he really liked the Macho Truck more than the Soccer Mom look of the RX. .

The wife picked the color since it was the most practical being it didn't show dirt.

Yes it doesn't get the compliments and the looks that my Red SC430 does but I love it. It's comfortable, quiet and shifts so Smooooth.

Title fixed.

This is a topic we've covered a few times, including in this thread which has a link to yet another. Bottom line, if you like the RX, buy it!

Male: early 40's.
First RX bought in 2005 with 2 kids aged 12 or so. My daily driver.
Second RX bought in 2014 with no kids at home any more. My daily driver.

We bought the 2nd one because of reliabilty and comfort with the first one, and still needed some sort of SUV to haul the occasional bigger stuff around that wouldn't fit in the wife's car.

No compliments on the car, but that's fine with me. I didn't get it for them.

Sorry. I did a simple search. Didn't search for the right topic I guess.

You can merge threads if you want. Just was trying to get responses.
