Have noticed a thumping noise when breaking at a Low speed on my 2013 RX 350. Brought it to the attention of my Lexus service mgr at the 5000 mile service. He did a test ride and heard the same thumping sound. He then test drove another 2013 RX at the dealership which made the same noise. Has anyone experienced this?

None in our 2013 RX 350 but it got only 4100 miles.

Thanks for the spelling lesson......the noise occurs as you brake at low speed like when stopping at a light.

I obsess over car noises that shouldn't be there.

Is it a repetitive "thump" ... thump..thump..thump..thump at a regular interval or is it, "thump.......thump"

It is a single thump when you apply pressure to the brake pedal coming to a stop .

I had similar noise in a Highlander (traded for RX). Happened only in reverse single thump. They couldn't find problem. Checked motor mounts, transmission and suspension....no cause found.

No my noise is more of a thump which I hear in the rear.....your noise almost sounds like shocks or springs

Tried duplicating in reverse...same result....thump upon putting pressure on the Brake petal at low speed coming to a stop.

Over time (brakes got dustier) the noise will get louder. It's the pad shifting noise.
Have someone stand outside the car while you drive the car back and forth and apply the brake to stop the car.

First I thought the noise only came from the front. But when I stood outside while my wife drove the car back and forth. Going forward the noise came from the rear. Going backward, the noise came from the front.

I have the same noise and it drives me crazy. It only started after i did the recommended 5K service and they rotated my tires. I had the same experience - i brought it to the dealer and we drove a new one and applied brakes and heard the noise, although it was not as loud as the one on my vehicle with about 6K miles on it. The dealership blamed it on the brake pads. Somehow it does not seem right to me....

We have european models. Few moth ago the dealer changed the brakes for the USA models. For a while the noise disappeared but now we have it again. The dealer said (i have an official document) that the sound is abnormal. But unfortunatelly, nothing happens, they can't do anything with it.
