Default 3rd gen RX 350 Rims (merged threads)

Hi everyone, i know it's not quite the time to be thinking about this, but i'm itching for summer and would like to fit the rx with some summer rims/tires!

If anyone who has went this route with their 3rd gen could post pics, specs, and experiences with their change that would be great!

Let's see some rides people!

Here's a couple links to threads on the subject.

I'm partial to chrome myself.

Thanks for links. I see i'm going to be leaning towards something larger, a 20 or 22" perhaps, with black with chrome accents. I see your wheel skins and i'm not sold on the chrome. Surely these cannot be the only 3rd gen Rx's here with aftermarket rims though!

Not too many members have gone the aftermarket route with rims. I did see this 350 with 20" Vossens at a dealer in December.

Those vossen are not bad, I like the 5 spoke look. Still think I would go to a 22" for the looks.

Any F-Sport owner change out the rims? I've seen some volk on pre-3rd gen before and wonder how te37 will look like on 3rd gen..

Default RX350 Wheel Options

I just purchased my first Lexus (2013 RX350) and am very excited to be a part of this forum.
I don't really like the wheels that come standard and am looking for suggestions to after market upgrades. I'm okay sticking with the 18" since hopefully I wouldn't have to purchase new tires.
I really like the wheels that come standard with the hybrid model and also the 2010 rims.
I've looked at American Racing, Advanti Racing (A4 Kudos), Avarus Racing (AV8) and Borbet (B85)'s.

Any thoughts?

Personally, I prefer OEM rims to the aftermarket selection for the RX. You could find some OEM take-offs on e-bay. Same goes for your wheels, if you decide to upgrade. Don't forget that you will also need to move the TPMS sensors from old wheels to new, unless you buy a new set.

Also, keep in mind, with aftermarket wheels, the OEM tire iron may not work. Wheel locks will also be useless, as all of lugs will need to be replaced.

There are several wheels that come "standard" with the RX450h depending on the options package -- which wheels are the ones that you like? Just curious. I am thinking of buying a RX450h and like the split spokes...

I like the triple split 5 spoke wheels in super chrome. I asked the dealership if we could do a wheel swap because they had these wheels on all of their hybrid loaner cars in 18" but they replied that they couldn't do that because they were required to sell the vehicle with all of the OEM equipment on it.
