We tried the Plasti Dip route to black out most of the chrome on my wife's 2010 RX. Love the look, not too thrilled with the results though. The Plasti Dip came out a little too bumpy for our liking. That said, we're thinking about having it professionally done. I assume that the trim will need to be left on, or is it easy to remove? We might try ourselves if it is easy to remove, but are willing to pay to have it done correctly. In particular looking at getting the grill surround, rocker panel, roof rack, license plate trim and door trim painted. I've seen the threads regarding Plasti Dip on here. Any one else try something more permanent?
