I'm normally a fan of German cars (currently own a ML 350) but have been driving my brother in law's new Camry Hybrid and am very impressed, has me strongly considering a '13 RX450h. I find Lexus' website to be terrible in terms of explaining or showing the option packages. So you can get a sport appearance package on the 450h as well as a F-Sport package? Is a leather wrapped steering wheel available on the 450h, and if so, with which package? I've seen pics of a Nebula Gray / Saddle 450h with a black leather steering wheel (can't stand the half wood steering wheel), but can't figure out if/how it's available in the states? The non F-Sport 450h has a sport driving mode, correct? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

1) All 2013 RX450h models have a Sport driving mode.
2) As far as i can tell, there is no F Sport appearance package available in Germany.
3) RX450h F Sport, Executive line, and the base model have leather wrapped steering wheels. ONLY the luxury model comes with the wooden steering wheel.

yes, it helps, thanks, but let me clarify, i don't live in germany, i live in New York, i just meant i'm a fan of german cars. I clarified my original post hopefully. So sounds like i can get the Sport Appearance package (I like the five tri-spoke wheel) without getting the F Sport Package (not a fan of this package), and the car would come with a leather steering wheel. Cool. Now the hard part - Nebula Gray/Saddle or Silver Lining/Black?

The 450h F-Sport is not available in the US, but I'm not sure about the sport appearance package. Most RXs come equipped with the wood steering wheel and shifter. They're actually an option, probably installed at port or the dealership. So it might be a matter of telling them not to. I don't have it on my RXh as part of the sport package, which is no longer available. The five tri-spoke wheels are standard on the 450h and don't require a special package.

I had a chance to see a silver lining/black RX at the dealership recently. It's definitely a nice color combo. But of course I'm partial. My RXh is tungsten pearl/black.

Oh right i see. Yes you will be able to get the f sport appearance package then. Hmm i never did like silver.... BORING!!! and saw an F sport grey which looked pretty dull IMHO! therefore went for the starfire pearl!

Yes, my RX450h has the sport appearance package, and I hate the wood steering wheel, too. -__-
Unfortunately, I guess all the RXh in the U.S. carry the wood steering wheel.
Unless you place a special order, and Lexus accept your special order, then you might get the leather steering wheel.
I had placed the special order once, with sport appearance package, leather steering wheel, and HUD.
After waiting for more than 1 month, still heard nothing from Lexus.
Then one day my dealer told me that there's a RXh with sport appearance package, but no leather steering wheel and no HUD.
So I just took this car and waited for another month because it just sailed from Japan.

Thanks for clarifying, roy7777. I've only seen the appearance package on a 350. I guess they're hard to come by. Geez, I thought I was the only one that didn't like the wood steering wheel. None of my RXs came with it.
