Steering Wheel Rattle
I just bought my CPO 2010 Lexus Rx350 from JimPattison back in February. Beautiful car and rides perfectly.
However a few weeks ago I noticed some rattling noise when I go over bumpy roads. I complained the noise to my wife and she told me the sounds has been there since the day we test drove it I didn't notice it because I always drive around playing music at moderate volume and I noticed it a few days ago because I forgot my Iphone so no music was played.
Does anyone encountered problem like this? If so how did you fix it and how much does it cost? Is it under warranty (i just bought this car 5 months ago)?

I just purchased a CPO 2010 RX350. It's almost flawless with 35,500 miles on it. I picked it up today and drove around with the stereo on most of the day. When driving later with no stereo I noticed the hellacious rattle coming from the steering column. It sounded like nuts and bolts rattling around. I only heard it when driving slowly over bumpy surfaces. Guess i've been bitten by the issue. Will be taking it into my dealer on Tuesday. Wish me luck!

I believe there is a TSB about it. The service guy showed me a bad column the problem is nothing mayor is a nut that gets loose and there is no way to re tighten it. They will try to grease it up first but if the sound is back, which it wil, they will order a new updated steering wheel column.

I have a 2010 RX350 and it also made squeaking rubbing noise when turning the steering wheel at slow speed. After reading this thread, I checked the steering column boot next to the pedals, and that's exactly where the sound came from. Added some grease to the inside of the boot where it touches the column and the noise disappeared right away.
