Smart Key Car with Different FCC ID and IC from Key Fob
Hi guys. I purchased a factory used smart key card but realized that the FCC ID and IC numbers do not match the ones found on the key fob. I have read many threads and some say these two numbers need to match exactly and some said it doesn't. These threads that I've read go back a few months to years.
I just want an update on this issue before I head into the dealership and have them tell me that it doesn't work.
Thanks for any help! Have really appreciated all the help I have gotten from this forum.

Mines are also different but one similar thing is the year (2008) certainly the date of the manufacturing of the key. The key fob is certainly manufactured in Morocco (indicated on the fob).
the "CE" stamps for european regulation which is not on yours guys (North America).
Nota: if you wash your car with high pressure pipe and have your key inside the car or outside (in your pocket, the alarm (key inside the car) is ringing (like a shrill, high-pitched).
Another situation experienced today, my fob key in my pocket while washing the car with the pipe 1m distance, the key alarm rings and doors shut and reopen when coming back.
Strange?
Not really (I tentatively explain a possible solution/explanation): as the key is radio distance system and the water sprayed creates a continuous link between the car and you (as long as the key is in your pocket), that's enough to recreate the normal link when you touch the car to open it the key in your pocket or any bag.
Do you confirm?

That is exactly what is going on. I believe that the water going over the sensor as well as the fact the key is close enough makes the car think you are doing it on purpose. Mine locks, unlocks beeps etc but all is good when I am done.
