Default Canadian 2013 RX350 19 inch wheels

New to this forum, I recently received my new 2013, the wheels seem to be superchrome (graphite looking). I didn't read that in the brochure. Is this standard for 19 or does it depend on car colour? Anybody else with Canadian optioned 19's (not F sport)?

Thanks

I'm not aware there is a difference with wheels from the US, so I'll try to answer and let a Canadian confirm. Yes, 2013 19" all come with a superchrome finish that is different than the standard 18" wheel alloy -- our US brochure calls that out with pictures and description, as does the options page for the RX on Lexus.com. F-Sport 19" come with an even darker graphite finish. I personally love the look of my 19" superchromes and prefer them over the "real chrome" that many dealers here in the US offer as an aftermarket upgrade. Chrome has just too much bling for my taste. I had a similar OEM super chrome finish on my 2006 RX400h that looked perfect for the 7 years I owned that ride, so hopefully they'll hold up as well on my 2013.

BTW, welcome to the forum, and congrats on your 2013!

Canadian 19" alloy wheel is 3 split 5-spoke design. that's what I got as part of the Ultra Premium Package 1.

OP, I just looked at the Canadian brochure and while it says "alloy" for all 3 types of wheels on the RX350 in Canada, the look of the 19" finish is identical to that in the US brochure that calls the same thing "superchrome". For a different example, here is my own photo of my 19" wheels ("superchrome is US terminology" and definitely not the same finish as the standard 18" US wheels), which perhaps match yours.

...all I can say is it must be hard for Lexus trying to keep track of language and these sort of strange marketing description differences between countries. Some of us know it introduces errors, and sure drives some of their customers crazy.

Took a quick look at mine and you are right, the canadian 19's alloy are indeed equivalent to the U.S. "superchrome". Attached a quick pic (bad lighting)

Good to know. Wouldn't it be nice if we all spoke the same English? Ahahaha.

That's the 3-split 5 spoke alloy wheel I was referring to in my previous post. That's the 19" wheel that comes with the Ultra Premium Package.
