It was excellent in my 2013 RX with the much-maligned Blackberry as well. It only went in the toilet when I moved to an iPhone. There are two players in this technology, the car manufacturer and the phone manufacturer. Having seen it go from excellent to crap in the same car simply by changing phones, I have a different perception of where the problem lies.

I opened this forum in the hopes that those of you with 2013 RX's that used the bluetooth phone system will call and register a concern. Their number is 1-800-255-3987, option 2 on the menu.

I would like to hear from others that have used the 2013 RX bluetooth speakerphone and what they think of the quality.
I just checked the settings on my 2014 LS460 and I too was not pleased with the sound quality and volume on Bluetooth calls. I found the DEFAULT setting for volume to be set way too low. Boost it up for that and phone calls and see if that helps. Cheers.

When I have loaners from Lexus the BT quality is fine but in both my (now traded in) 2013 GS350 and my wife's 2013 RX450h the BT sounds like you are underwater. So it isn't my phone and I have used two different iPhones and three different Blackberries in these cars.

I've had my new 2015 RX 350 for about 10 days now and have only made a few phone calls (to the same person each time) and the sound quality is very good. I also asked the person on the other end how it sounds and they said "good", almost the same as if I was using the phone by itself. I thought I'd seen something somewhere that noted something like "enhanced bluetooth" so perhaps this is why it sounds good to me.

What brand/model phone? My iPhone 6 sounds just fine on our 2015 RX400h via Bluetooth.

My 2015 RX450h iPhone 6 connection, through my Bluetooth, is very tinny when compared to every other Lexus I've owned. Perhaps because this is the first one without avMark Levinson radio?

When calling out the other party hears us very clearly so the car microphone works fine.

It's also the worst sound quality (though the car speakers) even when compared to our recent 2014 Fords and current 2015 Nissan Leaf.

Default poor bluetooth phone quality on new phone

I have a Lexus 350RX 2013. I just got a new phone and paired it 2 days ago with my Lexus bluetooth. The call quality is horrible on incoming calls. My previous Android phone worked great. Now all calls are garbled. What can I do to adjust the call quality on my bluetooth?

What kind of phone is it? About the only thing adjustable on the car is incoming and outgoing call volume.

I recently joined the forum page but didn’t know I would need it so quickly. I bought a preowned 2015 RX 350 this week and compared to my 15-year-old RX 330, the Bluetooth phone call sound quality is a joke. People on the other and noticed right away that it sounded like I was not on LTE. But that wasn’t the case. My old RX had a pioneer Apple CarPlay Enabled navigation/stereo unit put in but it had all the standard speakers and I just don’t know if it’s the lack of Apple CarPlay that is causing this in the new one or what. The music and such sounds fine through the Bluetooth. Phone is iPhone 11 Pro. Help!!

Horrible in my 2013 Lexus RX350. So much static. All other speakers work fine. Went to Geeks and they are stumped on how to fix the problem
