Welcome! By the way, it's 0W-20. ( that's the synthetic oil)
I use this for our Lexus and Toyota ( i do my own oil change)
I do go to the dealer to buy these andi keep the receipt.

You can also use Mobil 1 ( as long as it's 0W-20)

if you're using synthetic oil, which is the recommended one
there's no need to do oil change every 3,000 miles or even 5,000 miles.
This may not be accurate. To maintain the warranty on the Lexus, you need to stay on the Lexus maintenance schedule (at least close). So low mileage drivers will be replacing their oil on shorter maintenance intervals. If you only use the car for 2,500 miles a year, I don't think that you can wait 4 years for your first oil change.

Plus, the OP is a Canadian and they have shorter maintenance intervals for oil changes in their Lexus maintenance schedule. My advice on oil changes is to get them performed as often as recommended by Lexus in your Canadian owners manual. The manual will state the requirement in terms of both TIME and MILES. So whichever comes first, take your car in close to that triggering event. I'm not familiar with the Canadian maintenance requirements, but if it says every six months, then change the oil every six months unless your Lexus dealership advises otherwise.

Does anybody know if another dealership will honor the 5K and 10K services. I have moved to another state and would like to get my 5K service.

I bought my RX at one dealership and had the 5k and 10k done at another. They get paid for it.

I was in NJ over the Christmas Holiday and found this Dealership's Service Coupons:
http://www.lexusenglewood.com/MiscPa...01225204290144

$89.95 coupon for a synthetic Oil Change and a Hand Car Wash plus the others….I'd never find that at an Illinois Dealership.
