I had a MobileTrace device installed in my last car. I not only provided GPS location but it had some other nice features. could unlock doors from computer/smartphone. had a GeoNet that would send email and text if the car when out of a certain area and for those of you who have teen drivers, you can have it email/text you if the car goes over a certain speed limit. Man I'd have been in big trouble if my folks had that capability on there car when I was a teen!
My dealer installs Lo Jack on all his cars in the lot from the delivery truck. So he's protected in case cars are stolen from his lot. Then he turns around and sells it with the Lo Jack installed to the new car owner. Not only does he get an after market sale item profit but he gets free protection while the car is in his lot.
Pretty smart thinking on his part. Not sure what he would do if the new owner refused to pay for it.

Car was stolen with a key... So yes your property is not safe if a car ring in west bubble **** puts in an order. Locksmith is hired codes are linked to a key and your car is gone... Oh, and the car that was stolen was equipped with lo jack, and a scanner was used to find it and bypass it. My car was found 4 months later. I also had the early warning system with key fob. IMO it's BS, if someone wants your car, they will get it.
