Bought in Minnesota since the dealer were more agressive on price, I started wth the questions how much above invoice will you sell if I buy today. Not sure when the fiscal year end's for Lexus but the delaer was pushing to work the numbers and open to all discount conversations.

Sticker was 51,458.00, paid 47,000. I know the dealer had at least 1,500.00 or more. on top of this so I know they made more than I wanted to give them.

I also got 3M shield and they tinted the front windows for me before delivery.

Got a -J- VIN number and head's up display; since I've been lurking thanks for the help on making sure I got a Japan bulid

Not knowing the option packages I would say your deal was fair. Not jaw dropping killer but fair nonetheless. Mine stickered at $50,048 and I walked (or drove) out around your price at $47,100. No HUD but the Nav, Comfort, Premium Sound, Remote Start, Premium Package, Wood, Cross Bars, Park Assist and Accessory Package along w/ AWD. So the dealer gave me $1,500 over invoice so they made money on it. But I considered it fair so don't feel taken.

Is the 3M shield the Lexus provided one that only covers a portion of the hood or did you get aftermarket which protects more surface area?

Dealer can do the remote start. Mixed reviews on it due to an apparent range issue. Personally I like my OEM one but there are other options out there such as Viper among a few others. It depends on how much you want to spend.

The "deal", like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Asking the question can't end well in the same way the question "does this dress make me look fat" can not possibly end without either tears or a night on the couch. Someone will always have paid less.

A deal is what you are happy to pay for it. As long as you are happy, then nothing else matters. I paid just over $70k for my 450H and people have said that is too much until they price it out. I am very happy and after all its just money and you can not take it with you.

just bought. hybrid 2012 RX450 with comfort package, premium package, parking assist, navigation, wood grain interior, upgrade 12 speaker audio, 19inch tires, dealer remote start...msrp was $54,950 and paid 51,500. .. i know i could have talked them down more, but it was the only hybrid available in the area and i needed it for Xmas surprise this year.. its hidden at a neighbors garage until Xmas morning... they threw in a big red bow for the surprise..

Sounds like a good deal. I picked up my 450h (sticker slightly less than $52k, now in 2012 car would be $54.5k) I paid $45.5.

I paid about the same price and I am happy with it. It took about 15 minutes to settle on the price which is what I want.

That is the first time I have seen a RX with the HUD and not the Luxury Package. Wonder if it was a special order that someone changed their mind on or did you order it that way.
