Here's what is for sale....can anyone help me with their experience if this is a good buy?? Appreciate the opinions.

I just searched Tirerack.com and a winter package from them is $1,220 US (plus $284 for TPMS sensors). Here's what you get -

From current currency conversion the complete Tire Rack package including the TPMS sensors comes to $1,562 CDN plus tax.

So I guess if you really want to spend another $700 for OEM get the package you are seeing. Otherwise for winter beat arounds I don't think this is a bad wheel:

This is not a bad price for us in Canada but your Lexus/Toyota dealer might have a better one. I got my package from the dealer for $2,283.45CDN on the car including mounting, balancing, TPS and taxes. I looked up the package mentioned above and with shipping and other UPS charges Tire Rack would charge you $2,213.28CDN at Friday's exchange rate. You still have to install the wheels on the car or pay someone to do it. The package you are thinking about includes real Lexus wheels instead of a generic wheel made who knows where. I tend to try to support the Canadian economy whenever I can, just a personal preference. I know lots of people buy south of the border to save money but someone has to pay for our healthcare, etc, so I had might as well pay my share.

I got the 18" wheel and tire package (Blizzak DMV1) with TPMS when I purchased the car. Mine didn't come with the center caps or even valve stem caps - they say they swap them over from the stock wheels when changing over. Since I change my own wheels and am somehwat OCD, I insisted that my sales guy get me a set of center caps to go with the new wheels - ask about them up front.

You can also free yourself from visiting the dealer to reprogram the TPMS sensors if you purchase your own ATEQ Quickset (http://www.tpmstools.ca/tpms-tools/p.../ateq-quickset). I recently got one and it works fine on my 2012 RX350.

Also is the re-setting of the TPMS system complicated?. I am not particularly handy.

Winters purchased from dealer in Toronto as part of vehicle purchase.

Resetting the TPMS is easy once you've got the software installed on your PC and the codes setup in the device - that's the part that can be a challenge. From my experience, I'd say go to their website and download the latest software and driver. Install those on your PC before connecting the Quickset to the computer. Everything should work smoothly from there, and the software guides you through the necessary steps. Once the codes are in the Quickset, you don't need to use the PC again unless you're adding another car or changing a TPMS sensor. Just plug the Quickset into the car and press the appropriate summer or winter button.
