On numerous occasions, I have heard RX350 is more of a woman's vehicle and a man's vehicle. Has anyone else heard this comment? Is driving a RX350 not viewed as manly as driving other vehicles such as the BMW X5 or Audi Q5?

Well I am a dude and I bought one. Not sure what that says or means.

I am coming from an Envoy and other GM SUV's. I made a promise to my self that my next vehicle was going to be really good on gas, as I fill up every 4 days or so at $80 tank, and be able to tow a snowmobile trailer. My choices led me to a choice between a Hybrid or a Diesel.

The Toureg has brutal milage as does the ML and no one else offers a diesel so off to Hybrid we go. The choices were the Escape ( really well liked and thought of around here but too small for my needs), the Hylander Hybrid and the RX450h. When all was said and done it cost me only 10K more for the fully loaded to the gills Lexus than a loaded, but not nearly as much in it, Hylander. Seemed like a no brainer to me.

I never considered it to be a 'chick car' but as long as it suited my needs, I wouldnt have cared. I am hoping to triple my milage as most of it is in the city, as well it makes me feel good to be more enviromentally responsible if I am honest.

Don't be ridiculous!! If the kind of car you drive makes one feel less of a man, there are other more important problems involved. Having said that, our RX is really my wife's car, but I enjoy driving it.

I agree with inRBigness as long as it fits your needs. I went from a 2007 Corvette Z06 to my RX350. I got tired getting my kidneys abused. Now I can go back from Las Vegas to Cali and bring my dog to see my folks. Comfortable ride and quiet. Fits my needs thats all I care. I think my dog appreciated it too.

We bought our 2010 RX for my wife originally but it has become my primary vehicle and I love it. I use it for sales calls and like the comfort and ride quality.

First and second generation RXs look a bit girly but the 3rd gen looks pretty manly. That said, 90% of the time I pull up to an RX, even a new one, a 40-year-old woman is at the wheel.

Daniel Craig, okay James Bond is pretty cool, but Ben Affleck? He is only cool because he knows Matt Damon. LOL.

The key fob Daniel Craig is holding, does it look RX? Key chain looks loaner to me.

I don't like any of those three and I wish I didn't know that they were driving my car.

I just think that it is the perfect vehicle for anyone, male , female , or otherwise. I looked at the rx 330 about 5 or 6 years ago and just loved the look. At that time I couldn't afford to buy one, so I hoped someday I could drive one. Well last year I finally decided to purchase one. Boy, do we love it. The good wife also loves the RX and looks good behind the wheel. I did consider other vehicles but I think the RX is one of the nicest looking suv's out there as well as one of the most dependable.
Cheers,
Jim

Quote from following article/link.

Lexus, a brand with predominantly male fans, has one car that skews toward women: The Lexus RX crossover, whose buyers were 60 percent female.

We bought our 2010 RX for my wife, but I have never felt that it is a chick's car. IMO, color has a lot to do with this but that is true of most cars.
