Since I was told the OEM air filter "might" need to be replaced every 16000km (depends on how dirty it gets), I am considering again to buy a reusable air filter like K&N. In the past, I had, at some point, bought those kind of product for all my last 9 vehicles. Not really aiming for performance gain but to have to the flexibility to clean/wash/reuse the air filter whenever I want.

I wonder how many of you folks are doing that for our RXs and if so, how much did you pay?

The cheapest deal I can find is from ebay which runs me roughly $60 with shipping cost included which isn't too bad consider my dealer told me that the air filter is $50+tax a piece.

Any thoughts?

i just bought a K&N one from Sewell for $32. or so. It was in their clearance section. They don't have any listed at this time for that vehicle right now. I was able to find them in Winnipeg for around 50-60 buck easily so no point paying for Ebay shipping.

I just checked with some local shops and none of them have it in stock. CanadianTire says they can order one for $76 plus tax. That is almost or more twice the cost for some USA online stores. I will just pick up a piece when I go cross the border next time.
