Default Trailer Hitch and Hitch Bike Rack for 2011 RX350 AWD

I've seen many posts here on trailer hitch. Majority seems to go with the Curt hitch. I am thinking about getting the Curt hitch but not sure about the hitch bike rack. I will need to have a hitch bike rack that can hold up to 3 bikes. Frame Mount and Anti-Sway models would be my preference.

Could someone recommend some brands and models for the hitch bike rack?

Might want to look at Thule, Yakima or Saris hitch racks. Thule can carry 4 bikes.

Those are the brands that I've been trying to decide which one to best fit my needs. Thanks for your suggestion.

I've already decided to get the the trailer hitch. Therefore I will get the hitch bike rack which mount the bikes a little further out from the car. I think the rear over the spoiler mount is kind risky of getting the car scratched if you are not careful...

Just my 2 cents.

I have the Thule 964 Revolver, and I love it. I bet I could drive my RX off a cliff, and the rack and bikes would stay put. It is expensive, though, and it is VERY heavy. I'm not sure my wife could mount and unmount it from the hitch. If you use it rarely, or all the time, I think it would be fine because you'd be mounting it only once in a while, or you'd leave it on permanently (it swings out of the way so you can access the trunk). If you're going to put it on and remove it once a week, you might get tired of it though.

I can't have the trailer hitch because i have the bumper guard installed. The only options i have is either on the roof or that risky mount.

Thanks for the suggestion... I've found the video demo here:Thule 964 Revolver Hitch Bike Rack Review Video & Review It's very nice but kind of on the expensive side like you mentioned...

I ordered my Curt Hitch from Amazon and installed today. I also ordered a Curt 56083 T-Connector from Amazon as well. The instruction that comes with the package shows step-by-step with pictures. It's relatively easy to install. It took me about 1 hour. Just like other forum members mentioned...

Now I am waiting for my Bike Rack to arrive to have the complete package.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and comments.

Just received the Yakima DoubleDown 4-Bike Hitch Mount Rack from Amazon. It's $200 with free shipping. There is no need to use the hitch extender for this rack - it is not recommended by Yakima. The rack extends far enough away from the bumper.

Hi,
I want to put a trailer hitch on my 2011 rx350 and interested in your message as to how easy it was. My dealer told me I would have to remove the rear bumper to install the hitch. Did you have to remove the bumper to install the Curt hitch? Also, was it difficult to find and access the connector which is part of the trailer package already on the rx350?
