How to know if my RX350 is AWD or FWD?

No, I don't play soccer!
RXSF, thanks. It's interesting to see what the buttons look like in other RXs. The AWD lock button is new to me. I only had snow mode button on the 330 and that was not exactly the same from my recollection.

both you and pasi are saying the same thing. The 350 is the only one with the awd lock button next to the trac button. The RX450h in either FWD or AWD does not that any button there. Instead, when you go into snow mode through the instrument display, it uses more awd when accelerating.

Hello all, I just bought a used 2008 RX350 and was wondering if it was AWD because there was no mention of it by the sales team, they also didn't mention it had the auto rear hatch, HID headlights that turn in the direction when turning, or a remote start tied into the panic button on the key. But I digress. I read through this thread and couldn't find the same button that was pictured here, but then I thought there's are real easy way to see if its AWD, so I looked under the back and saw a rear differential connected to a propeller shaft... Probably the fastest way to tell. But now I'm wondering if there is a way to turn off the traction control or lock the AWD like those buttons seem to do that I cant find anywhere.

More Interesting, To Me...
A coin holder, perhaps?

You got it . . . I guess it would be useful if you're traveling coin toll roads but I choose to have the windshield sticker tag that allows me to blaze thru the toll booths at 65! Perhaps that coin slot is for the valet tips?

One quick way to tell the difference when looking at the rear window stickers in the cars in the Dealer's lot, the FWD will show in Big letters that the milage is 21 MPG. The AWD will show, 20 MPG. In reality, there is probably more than one mile difference.

If youre buying a used one they dont always give that info. Fastest/most accurate way is to just get on your hands and knees and look under the rear for a differential. That pretty much removes all question as to whether or not it has AWD.

I just googled how to tell if my rx 350 was awd. I just purchased it in may 2021. I thought it was, but it is snowing today in chicago and it made me think about it while i was driving.
For the record, my 2017 rx 350 does not have 'awd' on the hatch.
But i used the link provided by JimH2 (http://www.decodethis.com/Default.as...BK1BA8AC052185) and entered my vin#. This answered the question immediately, and definitively.

Welcome to CL. You can always look under the rear bumper to see if there is a big bulge in the middle of the rear axle which will be the differential that is for AWD.
You would also have a button near the shifter for locking the AWD which is used only at low speed when stuck in the snow or mud.
Go to the Lexus Drivers Site linked here and join it, then enter your VIN and you will get the build data and also the complete dealer service history:

That is not a 3rd generation RX, yours is a the 5th generation. Either a 2023 or 2024 model.
The RX350h does not exist for the 3rd gen.

You still got to perform a visual check regardless of badging since some owners like to add badges to models that do not have the features that badge represent for whatever reason. Generally the sport badges are added to non-sport models, but I have seen some non-AWD cars with AWD badges as well on used car lots.
