Could You Please Check Your Car For Rust?
Ive noticed that the two tow bar/hitch ma-jiggy things (proper term) underneath the rear bumper of my RX next to the exhaust is rusting. I dont know whether or not that is considered normal, or whether this is even covered under the rust protection warranty, but it bothers me because I dont even live in snowy climates where it may be affected by salt.
Could someone check to see if they have the same problem?

My back is killing me from shoveling snow and you expect me to get down on my hands and knees and check....
Sure, be happy too. Gonna wash it today.
Although, I doubt if they or any of the undercarriage are covered.

No, I don't play soccer!
I assume you're talking about the black loop thingies. I checked mine this morning. Miraculously they look fine with all the salt they've used on the roads around here. I saw maybe a speck of rust but that was it. The RX isn't too dirty but will be getting a bath tomorrow. I'll look again.
David, this is the first week in a month that I haven't picked up the shovel. The big melt begins finally. Maybe I'll see some grass, albeit dead, in a few days. We've been buried since December 26th

Yeah id assume it wont be covered under warranty because ppl in the salty states would be cashing in constantly.
that's what's so great about the people on this forum

Between my creaky old knees and my aching snow removal injured back, I looked under the car and the eyelets are gone. Rusted off last winter I would guess.
Okay, okay, they are there and seem to be fine. My landlord is installing a car hoist in his shop. Can't wait to look under my RX without crawling around on the ground!
