This request comes up fast and it's in the small part of the Droidx at the top of the screen. I will try hitting it next time and see if I can give permission.

I am hoping someone with Droidx who has been able to xfr contacts to a 2011 RX 350 will respond.

Great tip. I finally got this working. Thanks.

Now if I can only add the pauses or waits so I can access my cell phone voicemail by using the a Speed Dial number.

Default Tsfr Phonebook Contacts from DroidX

I was able to tsfr my phonebook contacts via bluetooth by adding one entry at a time. After I paired my phone to the car, I pushed the talk button and completed the following voice commands >Phonebook; Add Entry, By Phone (verify that your phone is paired). You should see Transfer displayed in your car. From your Droid X go to Contacts, touch the Menu button (lower left), touch +More, touch Share name cards, select the contact name to transfer, touch Done, touch Send. Your phone will confirm once the contact info has been transferred.

I have the same issue. Using IP4. Be able to do anything but the contact transfer didn't work. Everytime I do transfer i got disconnect, but adding one by one works fine. Tried with another Iphone 3GS still had the same problem.

I had the same problem and just read post on the internet claiming that Verizon BT phones dissable something called the OBEX function (which enables phone book/contacts transfer. The work around was to enter the contacts manually.

That would take forever to enter them manually. I've given up for now unless I hear of something new that would allow mass transfer.

Default Its a Lex Problem

I can not transfer my phone-book from my Magic gingerbread to my Rx 350.

Lex will not work with many phones
the Android Market is Big and geting Biger and they SHOULD have a FIX for it.

They don't see it as a problem, they call it an Issue

Yesterday I connected my new Verizon Droid Charge via Bluetooth with no problems. This included my full contact list that went in automatically.

I have a 2011 450h with Nav. All the mavens at my dealership didn't have a clue how to do the transfer from my DroidX via bluetooth to the vehicle. Since you can't get blood out of a turnip, I googled, googled and regoogled for days until I found this thread on droidxforums.com about a Mercedes-Benz owner having the same problem. I'm pasting the link. Scroll down to thread #6 by mackytack on 2-22-2011. http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/dr...e350-help.html

I'm not very good at swapping and transferring links but if you can read it, this method downloaded all my contacts in a jiffy, while the engine was running. I don't know if having the engine on made a difference because I didn't go back and try it with the engine off. It seems you have to prep the DroidX phone before doing the transfer.

If this works, you will have found the holy grail of the DroidX; use it wisely Grasshopper.
