Congrats TxTarheel on your RX350. I'd be more concerned about burning the adhesive if you switch to HIDs. Like Jim said the OE bulbs are halogen. If you want to switch the fog lights off, the control is on the stalk on the left side of the steering wheel.

Tried the code but it did not work. bummer. Anyway, thanks for the input. I did buy the body side moldings (Satin Cashmere Metallic) and install so I will post a comment on them in that thread with a pic in a few days. . Also I do all of my own pinstriping and I found a place to get a small Lexus logo to include in the striping like the dealer does. They charge a fortune at the dealer for a painted stripe with logo. I use the 3M tape and it holds forever, but even if it doesn't it is simple to replace a section. And of course if I have to do a repair I can fix the stripe easily. I will start a thread on that subject as well if anyone is interested.

Thanks guys.

yep, 10off worked. thanks.

VVRX, I will get that thread up this week. I have to back it out and take some good pics of the striping, with a real camera and not an iPhone.

I will do a more complete thread on the logo but here is a close up of the front fender area showing the stripe and the logo area:

Just applied the fog lights on my 2012 RX 350 and was surprised to find that there was no overlap. They fit exactly with no excess material to slip under the trim and there were no tabs to clip off.

After what I read here I expected to be out there for 20 minutes pushing and prodding it under the trim. Could it be because I ordered the thicker of the two grades?

Does anyone have recent photos of the blue film over the fog lights? I'd love to see pics with fogs both on and off. Thanks in advance!

Default ....laminated small driving lights....

First, I apologize if this subject is already covered, but this morning while cleaning the RX 350 2012 I noticed that the protective plastic film or vinyl laminate that some of us have applied to the front small low driving lights for protection from road debris damage, have developed a brown spot on the center.
This is what appears to be a burnt spot.....I know that those lights get hot but they are really used at night and, in my case, I do not drive that much at night.
Has anyone had the same experienced?......could someone provide the name of the seller...I would like to replace that protective film?.....it was cheap enough and if I have to replace them every year it is worth it to me considering how expensive those little lenses are....thanks to all

As everyone said already if the fog lights are made of glass, eventually the heat will melt the film. PERIOD. I don't care who and where you bought it from but if you use your fogs for extended periods of time or often it will melt over time.

Now here is the deal. For the 3rd gen RX350 Fog Light assemblys, you can also use from the following cars since Toyota/Lexus share the same Valeo Fog light assemblys. Make sure your fog assembly looks like this and it will fit from the following vehicles. Keep in mind in the popular auction site you can also purchase aftermarket "Depo" versions and plastic lens version of the housings. They even make LED fogs.

LED version

Toyota Yaris
Toyota Camry
Toyota Corolla
Toyota Matrix
Toyota Prius
Lexus HS250
Lexus RX350
Lexus LX470
Lexus LX570
Lexus IS-F
Scion XA
Scion XB2 (optional)

Hope that helps.

Default ...good news....

I have contacted LAMNX about the burnt spot on the fog lights and they requested a picture (which I sent to them) and their reply was that they are sending me a new set free of charge since there is a 5 year warranty on this product...great people..they stand by their products....
thanks LAMNX....

2011 350 with mfgr protection front film. Is there any way to tell if my fogs have film on them?
I am familiar with Laminex as I used it on my Porsche. Is there still a discount code available?
thanks
