Yep, those are the LED lights

It's called 'prophylactic' preperation. Anticipate the problem before it is a problem. After the A/C goes belly up and you remember this thred ...

Earlier this summer not a week after I'd been thinking my builders grade water heater is about 9 years old and I should start looking for bargains, it blew. By the time I was done with Home Depot 'AND' Servepro, it was a little over $2 grand. Could have been a lot cheaper. My insurance is $1 grand deductible and that was about the Servpro part.

Preparing for debris that hasn't happened before is pretty cheap.

Car looks very clean. Well done. I went the slacker route and promised myself I'd never daily drive a dark colored car again.

Remember, don't use dryer sheets when you wash your microfibers and use one bucket to rinse your wash mitts and another to get more soap, this way the crud that comes off your car doesn't end up back on it. These things will certainly help keep your black swirl free.

I really dislike the rims. I wish the 450h came with 19" 5 spokes like the 350. These rims are such a PITA to wash....totally agreed.

On my 350, the 19" rims are 7-spoke. As far as I know, there are no 5-spoke 19" rims for RX 350s.

This. 5 spokes on the 3g RX are 18" only.

wow, brings back memories of when we took her home.

LED headlights were always an option but were mostly special ordered. Notice that they do not have the LED daytime running lamps like the new 2013.

Happy memories I'm sure. How is your Stargazer Black RXh treating you? Still looking good? You should post some pics and update the thread.

Been using it as my DD lately because a family member took the IS for a while. I will take pictures when I can

I always hand wash my RX-350,and my Wife's IS-250. My RX is silver, her's is red(tougher to clean). I never let the dealer give my Lexus the free car scratch..er I mean wash. Seriously my co worker had his RX scratched from the local Lexus dealer free car wash.

I am a nut about keeping my lexi's clean, but Anita I never heard of wheel woolies?
I use an old white cotton tee shirt and clean the wheels by hand.

Wheel woollies work great on your wheels. 3 sizes of the straight variety, 2 of the newer angled versions that will reach to the backside of the wheel to get out the crud. Available from multiple places including Autogeek. I used to use the stiffer Daytona and other variations of the wire/synthetic brushes, but the woollies are pretty good and I don't worry as much about possible scratching my wheels if I get carried away. Only drawback is you can't form them like you can the Daytona ones to reach strange locations on the inside of your wheel without removing it if necessary.

Thanks BertL I have to buy them.I'm tired of crushing my fingers. I really do spend way too much time detailing the RX,and the IS.

NP. You're not the only one that has a personal problem attempting to keep a clean ride all the time. . I decided yesterday after washing and getting my RX ready to take Mom out for brunch this morning that I have a couple of little places that need resolving on mine -- the micro scratches I caught sight of in the sun, well, are just unacceptable. Ah ha ha. If there are 2 places I found, there must be more, so tomorrow begins the strip off the Zaino, clay, check the whole thing over with my Brinkman, buff those places out, apply some finishing polish, then reapply 3 layers of Zaino... and of course things have started to heat up temperature-wise here yesterday and today to the mid 80's. Why I didn't decide to do this last week before the temps started to go up for the season, well...

Have fun with your woollies.
