2013 RX Warning Lights (AWD, ABS, BSM, Headlight leveling, etc)
2013 RX 350 with 87,000 miles
Randomly, when car is started the maintenance warning lights (AWD, Check headlight leveling, ABS) come on. Sometimes they go off after briefly driving and sometimes they stay on. When it first happened about 6 months ago, I took it to both Toyota dealer (closest) and then to Lexus dealer. Both times they hooked up some diagnostic test and said everything tested fine. Lexus had no explanation, except maybe the lights get “stuck” when the car is started??? They said it’s perfectly fine. (This prob started right after I had flat tire repaired. I’m wondering if the BSM sensor was jostled) Fast forward to today…I parked the car at 11:05am & returned at 11:30. Turned car on & clock still read 11:05. After a few seconds it read normal time. I ran by AutoZone to have alternator & battery tested. Alternator all green. Tech did say the crank on the battery was fine & battery looked good but was only reading at 70%. He said maybe there was a short going to the battery. After reading some of the posts I see batteries are an issue. Im wondering if anyone has experienced this? Are these two issues connected? Or is this a dying battery & issues would be solved by replacing battery?

Generally speaking, any battery at 70% of normal voltage is considered a discharged battery. Need more specific info on this battery's status.

Get a new battery before pursuing more complicated diagnosis paths that will cost a lot more money. If a new battery resolves your issues, consider it your lucky day. I suspect that is all you need.
Low voltage from a dying battery will cause many random warning lights to appear. This leads to endless fruitless diagnostic searches until the battery is replaced. These vehicles are very sensitive to low voltage.
