Is it just Washington area
all the 2010 RX built must be sold within Washington DC metropolitan area. I see more 2010 RX than Gen2 RXs at this moment. I found another new Starfire RX across from my street. This now totals about 5 Starfires in my neighborhood which doesn't include all other color RXs. we even have rare Almond Metallic in our neighborhood. I even saw GX460 with 30 day tags. when i got mine on April of 2009, i think mine was second 2010RX in the neighborhood but first Starfire. I no longer feel special Like we did, everyone in my neighborhood whom had Gen2 must have trade-in for the Gen3. power of Lexus

Lexus Champion
There are a lot of 2nd and now 3rd gen RX's in our small suburban neighborhood too.
Last month alone over 9,000 were sold, and Lexus in on pace to sell something like 90,000 RX's this year. A huge sucess for them.

OTOH I drive one of the few '01 RX300 Silversport editions sold in the DC metro area. I think I'll get over my loss of exclusivity when I upgrade to a new 450h, hopefully later this year.
...As soon as I get over just having shelled out 2+ car payments worth for the 120k service including new spark plugs (and that's not even at dealer labor rates).

No, I don't play soccer!
There were two '10 350s next to me yesterday, both Obsidian. I'm Tungsten Pearl. So far only one neighbor has one. Now I still see my fair share of 2nd and 1st gens on the road, definitely more than 3rd gen. But BMW, MB, Audi and other Lexus models are more popular.

9,000! that is insane # for luxury model. for the price/quality/luxury, RX is hard to beat. Looking for what has change for 11RX, on Lexus site, noticed that it is now optioned as Package 1-3 instead of the usual comfort, luxury, premium, etc with much more customizable options. I priced the similarly optioned Package 2 w/add-on and it is now almost $1k more than what my original MSRP was. popularity = price increase but still is good buy under $50k.

The RX has been fighting the BMW 3 series for the past year for title of best selling luxury vehicle every month. The two come close and every month its in the mid 8000s.
for comparison sake, Audi America sells less cars than the RX...

I read an article about how Audi can't built more vehicles because of factory limitation. new factory in China suppose to have open this year but behind schedule so all the popular vehicles are still built in Germany. I currently have A5 on my shopping list and A5/S5, A6, and Q7 are all short supply so its hard to find the exact model. 2011 Mustang GT is also on the list and it to is hard to find and have to get on a waiting list.
