because the lexus japan hid kit is a true hid projector.

i just installed the lexus japan hid fog lights with led daytime running lights on my GSh. see the link below on what you get with a real hid projector:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-the-dark.html

now mind you, the RX hid fog light doesn't have led drl. but it should give you an idea of the size and quality of the RX hid kit by looking at my GS hid kit.

for those of you too lazy to check out the above link:

would you rather have lexus japan hid fogs:

or aftermarket hid fogs? the answer should be obvious...

It is so obvious!

I mean look at the pictures...the aftermarket HID is clearly the winner. "Epoxy sealed, waterproof/shockproof ballast" ...

You don't see any disclaimers on the Lexus website guaranteeing that! =D

Wow, this one is great. Hope Lexus makes the even better DRL LED design as the option very soon on all their models.

I like the new LED DRL on Cayenne and Panamera.

so, who is still concerned about the payback on the Hybrid engine (after discussing spending 2k for new fog lites and lower front end treatment)?

yes, i also wish there was LED DRL that comes with the hid fogs. but i highly doubt the RX HID fogs will come out with LED DRL. there's just no room for it. the only way to add LED DRL would be aftermarket (but that would look tacky if not done right, imho)

Here are the LED Bulbs I use for my fog lights...changing them took all of 5 minutes by reaching down from the top. Very easy.

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/68-SMD-LED-...flux_sku52.htm

I have similar bulbs for my DRLs from Advanced Automotive Concepts

http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...dlighting.aspx

Downside is when the bulbs are off you can clearly see what the bulbs look like since there is no shade. But when they are on, and in daylight, they look very nice and white with a tint of blue. =D

Highly recommend either company if you hate the yellow color of halogen bulbs like I do...

thx for sharing! those led bulbs are definitely a cost effective solution to color match to our HID/LED lowbeam headlamps.

however i was talking about actual HID fog light AND LED DRL combined in one package.

but definitely the links you provided is a good solution if someone don't want to go aftemarket HID fog light kit or lexus japan HID kit.
