Load carrying capacity
We just recieved a letter from Lexus telling us that we need to update the load carrying capacity of our 2010 RX350. They sent us a yellow sticker to affix to the door post beside the Tire and Loading Information sticker. The sticker says " CAUTION:LOAD CARRYING CAPACITY REDUCED. Modifications to this vehicle have reduced the load carrying capacity by(are you ready for this?) 2lbs or 1kgs".
Apparently they must compensate for the port installed options(remote start, glass breakage sensor, wheel locks, cargo net, and cargo mat). I know that I will feel much safer now, knowing that my actual carrying capacity is 2 lbs less than I thought. Actually, I think the cargo net weighs more than 2 lbs by itself.
