2006 Honda CR-V w/ 66K (totaled from a wreck) clean title...
Settled with insurance carrier...and upgraded to:
1999 RX300
144K ODO
3rd owner all local in SoCal
Dealer put $800 into it. (verified)
$5800 sell price.
New set of Evergreen tyres, P225 to match original Goodyear spare, that had lost air over time.
Champagne/tan
Was in Corona Del Mar Saturday watching traffic drive by on PCH...
The number of Range Rovers and convertibles matched the RX3's

New to Forum: 2 Lexus' in garage w/Porsche
(1) 2007 ES350 bought new for Valentine's Day 2007 for my wife: Ruby Red metallic/Cashmere, now with 179K miles; maybe the best car we've ever owned; just put a set of P7's on; 26/33mpg on Shell V-Power;
(2) 2012 Rx350 AWD bought in Jan2014 with 39kmi; Matador Red/Cashmere; replacing Bridgestones with P7 Scorpios next week; sweet car, great ride, was great in ice/snow in Jan here;
19/22mpg so far but will see with new tires;
(3) 2000 Porsche Boxster, bought in 2003 from orig owner w/17K miles; now have 70K; has new Nitto Motivo's front and back; great car, no probs in 12yrs of driving; Metropol Blue/Metropol blue; will be buried in it....
The Rx is still under warranty.....any suggestions about a "last visit" to the dealer before it goes out?

We recently bought a CPO RX350, black Obsidian in color, no navigation, I do not know just what packages are on it but it does not have the folding side view mirrors and I miss them quite a bit. It has AWD which is good up here in the PAC NW area. This is our 3rd RX. So comfortable to drive.
Does anyone know if I can add the folding side view mirrors as an after market item?

2015 RX 450h (after months of waiting) custom order
Obsidian with Gray interior
Comfort and Premium Package
19" wheels
HUD
LED headlights
ML Stereo
Nav
IPA
BSM
PCS
Tow Prep
RES
Full front end clear bra'd with Suntek film (can't even tell it's there)
22ple on entire car
I don't think I missed any acronyms.
The following is my ordeal:
10/01/2013 - went to dealer to look at what they had
waited for the color combination
11/14/2013 - ordered 2014 model
02/10/2014 - dealer called and said Lexus canceled the order due to being too late in the MY
02/10/2014 - dealer ordered a 2015 MY
05/03/2014 - received the MSRP "sticker"
05/21/2014 - received in LA port
06/14/2014 - signed papers, but left it with the detailer and PPF guy
06/28/2014 - finally picked it up for good
I wasn't in a huge hurry to get a new car so the wait was bearable. I didn't have to put any money down for the order. The dealer and salesrep were great to deal with.
Quick notes:
I haven't messed with the ML stereo much at all. Only listened to XM so far, but it sounds very tinny and I couldn't find any combination of settings to make it much better. Will have to mess with other sources.
HUD - could probably live without. I think it's cool during navigation, but other than that it's just a little novelty. I may grow to like it a bit more over time.
LED headlights - I have no experience with HID so I don't know how they compare. They make the street bright white at night though.
Nav - I'm not going to get into it here or another war will break out
IPA - good addition to any car in my opinion
BSM - probably the feature I like the most
PCS with dynamic radar - I've used it once and it is very cool to just have the car adjust its speed. I think it'd only be useful if you use cruise control alot (travel alot). Of course, PCS is also a safety feature and that's probably why I added it.
RES - while the range is limited and I knew that going in, I still wanted to have it.
Drove 350 miles home from dealer. Got plenty of bugs, but they washed right off.

First Lexus!
CPO 2012 RX 450h
Starfire pearl exterior, parchment interior
Navigation, premium, and comfort packages: park assist, power moonroof, HID lights, heated/ventilated seats, wooden steering wheel.
FWD (better mileage, we're in the South and don't need AWD).
40,300 miles.
It's not brand new but might as well be. Traded up from a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid - just not enough space after our baby came along. The RX drives like a dream; I love it. I do slightly covet the hourglass front fascia on the 2013-and-newer, but this car had all the options we wanted at the right price and we just had to get it. I lurked on this forum for several months prior to purchasing and learned some great stuff. I'm looking forward to participating as an owner now.

Welcome Apostrofe.
Very nice looking ride. I think you will enjoy the new RX. As you likely found, this is a great forum especially for someone new to the RX. Enjoy the new ride and the forum.
