Congratulations.
How many many other Lexus owners can claim two Hybrid's in the garage at the same time. You just might be one for the record books.

I bet you have it parked front and center at Church in the morning

thx cruiter! in fact, when my wife parks the RX, i explicitly instructed her to park as far away as possible to prevent door dents. as for parallel parking, she will only take the spot if there's sufficient room to glide in without having to back in. gotta protect those new wheels from curb rash you know!

Nice They did a great job on the clear bra. Sorry if you mentioned before, did you do full or partial hood? And where did you get those mud flaps?

you got good eyes kitlz, didn't think you could see the mudflaps under poor lighting conditions! the mudflaps came installed with the RX, i assume it comes with the package i got.

got my venture shield clear bra installed by tint centre. it is only partial hood.

Well, the clear bra is awesome. If you didn't mention you were getting it done, I would have not known. The hood and bumper are nice and shiny. Did your Aurora White RX come with special sunglasses too

thx! i totally recommend everyone who buys a new car to get it installed asap. better to bite the bullet now than to get rock chips later on.

Since your GS is also a Hybrid, why doesn't it get at least as good a mileage as the RX? It's lower, lighter, and less drag. It can't be just the Atkinson cycle can it?

It doesnt have atkinson cycle, and it doesnt have the exhuast heat recovery. Also it is tuned towards performance rather than economy. THe GSh was recreated when lexus thought it was a good idea to use hybrid technology as a type of turbo.

For a long time, it was the fastest lexus produced, sub 5.5 second 0-60 time.

hybrids are very weird in that once it reaches a certain horsepower benchmark, the fuel economy takes a giant hit. Like the prius only has 50 less horsepower than the HS and camry hybrid, but will get 15 more miles to the gallon. same with the GS. 340 horses, mileage takes 5-7 hit per gallon

Stormforge, I see in your description (not in the pictures - my eyesight is not that great!) that you have a black interior. Only option here in the US with that color is light gray. You lucked out. By the way, you didn't let me know if you got special sunglasses with your Aurora White RX

Congratulations Stormforge! As Jim stated, it is quite unique that you own two Lexus hybrids. You will have a lot of fun playing with all the wonderful "toys" on the RX.
